To me, these brands, they're something I associated with happy meal times growing up with my mom. I even found boxes of the stuff recently from 10 years ago in her cupboards. My late mother who died a couple years ago, she always cooked with uncle bens rice. they are both iconic american food brands I grew up on that are now being destroyed. So up until they've decided to cancel these brands, I had absolutely NO idea that the heritage/roots of aunt jemima or uncle bens had anything to do with racism. These food brands doing this stuff, I'm sorry, but it really irks me, and this is one of the things I totally oppose.
